Easydrift Track Test

Since 2024, I have also been a safe driving instructor, and among the many technical exercises offered to students is oversteer control using the famous device that gives this piece its title.
These plastic covers that fit over the tire significantly reduce grip on the axle they are applied to.
To mount them, you first need to choose the correct size for your wheels, using a chart; after that, you need to deflate your tire, bringing it into a vacuum, so that you see it collapse like a 5-pointed star. At that point, you insert the easydrift plastic ring with a little force, and then you can inflate the wheel, which will then pull it back and recenter it.
Mounting two on the rear wheels of a FWD transforms it into a cheerful drift car. Or almost, because in reality, it's still about correcting oversteer caused by low grip; you certainly can't experiment with accelerator-controlled drifting like champions such as Federico Sceriffo.
Anyway, check out this repainting project of 4 old rusty rims in electric blue, perfect for my daily Ford Fiesta S, plus the track test at the Lombardore racetrack with my colleague Gabriele
